Age of Lost Innocence

Running along a bed of flowers,
The friends sang and whistled.
Unchecked and untamed, they were
True children of the countryside.

Unknown to them,
Arrived the clouds of impending storm.
They looked up in wonder,
And welcomed the beats of thunder.

Rain, Thunder, Gloom, Darkness -
Contrived to pull them apart.
They clung on to each other,
Until the storm passed.

Running back to the house,
They sang old songs of the countryside.
Two hearts beat as one
In this Age of Lost Innocence!

  3. @ Uma - True. The next generation would miss out on a lot of things.. Stuffs they can read only in books (if they still have the habit of reading)
